h111 you dont know me but 1 was tell1ng one of my fr1ends about your sysfuyu post(1've become aware of a d1fferent presence? person? 1ns1de my head so 1've been look1ng 1nto th1ngs) but then they started to share some ant1 system thoughts w1th me like deny1ng the poss1b1l1ty of sysfuyu because theres "not enough alters" "that fandom 1s too young to know what they're all talk1ng about" "mafuyu doesnt even have the r1ght trauma to be a system" and 1t's been really upsett1ng.
1 dont want to start d1scourse on your blog, 1 just d1dn't know where to talk about th1s. 1 haven't been able to f1nd enough stuff to tell my fr1end thay they're wrong yet...
-Ra1nbow anon
Yeah your friend is full of bullshit and lets start with each one
1- "not enough alters" there's not a right way to be a system. We have 100+ alters (only about 20/30 front frequently) and have been invalidated for it, we also know systems of only two people, the definition of a system is "more than one personality". It doesnt matter how little.
2- "that fandom is too young to know what they're talking about" who made that post is 22 and is on college+know im a system for 4/5 years. I know what im talking about
3- "mafuyu doesnt even have the right trauma to be a system" there's no right trauma, our trauma was loneliness, and you can also be a system without even having a trauma, although you cant be diagnosed then. Doctors dont know everything about the human brain, so the possibilities of systems is unknown. Plus its literally a headcanon for fun who said it needs to be accurate?
I.. believe your friend is a sysmed, people who tends to think there's a right way to be a system, i dont think that would change even with stuff telling them otherwise, qnd im sorry you had to deal with that, i think if you try to change their mind start small, like not going straight for the trauma part becayse that.. theres a lot of syscourse around that, but the not enough alters could potentially change, if they get too angry though its best to just not mention it anymore.
And its fine, generally i dont like discourse but you're fine with this one anon

To add to the headspace Discourse(tm), we are a gateway collective and believe our headspace (preferred term: inner world) to be real in at least some sense. There's differing opinions between us, largely depending on each collectivite's origin and their interaction with the inner world.
Whether or not this is a literal reality doesn't really impact our belief; we have no way of knowing, and assuming it's fictional or mentally generated and enforcing that belief would be harmful to collectivites who are from there, have family there, or have ongoing lives there.
Also: it isn't hurting anyone. Most people don't even know about our inner world, because what they see is the front, which is usually all that's relevant. We write about events that go on there in a personal locked journal, but again, it's certainly not anything we're forcing on anyone or trying to 'prove' in any way.
I think the discourse around the realness or unrealness of headspaces and inner worlds and the way it's framed is really indicative of how certain subsections of the syscourse community view the morality of sanity. We are naturally inclined to seeing the critical axis of judgement of any action or belief as 'is it harmful'. As long as someone isn't actually harming people, having an odd or untrue belief doesn't have any inherent moral weight, in our eyes. Especially for internal experiences. Someone believing they're hearing the voice of God or angels and not making that anyone else's problem is not hurting us. But are we judging discourse on real harm, or are we judging harm based on objective truth or 'sanity'? Who defines sanity and insanity, and are we reinforcing a certain worldview by reinforcing those judgements? Are we recreating ableist and saneist systems of oppression within our own communities on accident by bringing in unconscious biases about what is real or sane, and what is 'impossible' (or, if we were being more honest, what is 'insane'.)

WHEN WILL THE NIGHTMARE END /s

Do I have to say this? There is no such thing as a fake system. For fucks sake. If someone is 'faking' their system, just fucking treat them like how they want to be treated. If they want to fucking be treated like multiple people or something, TREAT THEM LIKE FUCKING MULTIPLE PEOPLE.
They aren't harming anyone by saying they're a system.
All systems are real.
No system is fake.
Why? Because if you call yourself/yourseleves a system, YOU'RE A SYSTEM. PERIOD. No questions asked. Fuck off fakeclaimers. Honestly. They're people too. Don't go around calling them fake. So, what if they made up their whole system? They're still a system if they call themself that. This is coming from a cryptoendogenic system who is monocon and can be considered median.
Fakeclaimers fuck off.

"You can't self diagnose anything at all"
i diagnosed myself with 'headache' when I started looking through the syscourse tag today
Reasons why I diagnosed myself with headache:

Sometimes I think about talking more about the spiritual aspect of my system/plurality (because quite frankly it feels a lot more enjoyable and less potentially endangering than talking about system stuff related to my CDD, because of the fact that with that, my trauma heavily influences every part of my system as a CDD system, so sharing much on it just feels like giving too much away about my trauma. Which, you know, gives way too much room for people to figure out how to hurt me with it.)
Then I am reminded over and over how many people can't even be normal about many of my experiences as a CDD system that do fit into strictly medical and/or already studied aspects of the disorder
(Examples for reference: People trying to tell me the way I handle or work on managing symptoms of my CDD is incorrect, or that I'm being "anti recovery" for seeing/working on it a different way from then even though I've been in therapy for years and have discussed the topic with my therapist already explicitly to make sure I'm NOT hurting my own ability to recover. People trying to debate the validity of my symptoms and how they present even when it fits into experiences that have been studied already.)

Dude. The amount of people still using the haunted self and Van der Hilt as sources in syscourse is wild.... Bro had his medical license revoked for malpractice and that book is ALMOST 20 YEARS OUTDATED !!!!!
Though tbf unsurprising that sysmeds are using outdated sources I guess. Their position has no basis in our current medical understanding of plurality

i understand endos are destroying CDD systems and shit
but yall are acting like its the only thing people fake
ive PERSONALLY known ppl whove faked hallucinations and admitted to it
and faked tics/tourettes and admitted to it
CDD systems are being harmed but we arent the centre of all of this shit
this doesnt make endos less dangerous, but remember we are sitting IN spaces for CDD systems so thats what were SEEING
other shit goes on online and irl.

Some people with CDDs will view their systemhood as a positive thing. Some people aren’t going to be distressed by the systemhood aspect, and, genuinely, I don’t know why anyone would take issue with that. I love to see it. It makes me hopeful to see fellow folks with CDDs that adore their systems and are happy to have them.
Some people with CDDs will view their systemhood as a negative thing, or will view it as disordered. For example, as much as I care about the others in my system they are inherently part of a disorder for me. We cannot switch without amnesia between each other, we have entirely different interests/hobbies/goals, sometimes we still do things behind each others’ backs because it’s really hard to get the okay from ~60 pieces every time one of us wants to make a decision. All these things have a negative impact on my life, and because of how we’re structured I cannot currently view my system & CDD as separate.
Here’s the thing: Both of these outlooks are perfectly fine. The trend of telling systems how they have to feel is quite frankly ridiculous. Good luck telling anyone, in any community, that they have to feel a certain way. That’s not how society nor the human brain works. People are going to feel however they do about their CDD and/or systemhood and that’s okay. There is no right or wrong. There’s you, your perception, and how you feel about yourself. That’s all that matters.

seeing people complain over octocon saying they won't chase endos off the app or witch hunt is so wild to me the app is still very much made for just people with osddid and is still pretty anti endo just because they don't wanna be immature and go on witch-hunts doesn't mean they're suddenly changing stances the server, the place where you talk about possible changes and suggestions for the app is osddid only why are so many people so upset bro we've been begging for an osddid centric app and bot like this for a while it's fucking nuts

every time time ive read an anti-endo post recently it's like "but you don't have seperate dissociative states. you don't have actual alters if you don't have a CDD."
it's like. ok. we don't have a CDD. that is exactly how we describe our alters. like, that is what we have. we have seperate dissociative states.
...do i win a medal?
and they're almost always anti-self diagnosis too. what do you
"the difference between CDDs and endo-" WHERE DO WE FALL ON THIS LINE. does CDD just mean 'traumagenic' for you? or by endogenic do you mean 'nondisordered'????
i couldn't make them happy if i tried lol every time they say a difference between diagnosed CDD and non-disordered or self-dx, we have what they're saying we don't. they're excluding based on a fact that is untrue.
Also! I can't tell if this means that we have a CDD. does nondisordered mean no dissociation?? we have a lot of dissociation. like whuh.

Me: Saying that it's frustrating when people default to treating me, as an age slider, as a child, when I am typically mentally an adult
Some person, for some reason: Well it's better to treat an adult like a child than a child like an adult -proceeds to sit there insisting that treating an adult like a child does not at all strip them of their autonomy because 'you still control yourself'-
